Privacy policy

• Account information: your name, email address, password credentials, and communication preferences.
• Care space information: the name and details of the older adult whose care you organize, their timezone, and the roles of people you invite.
• Care records: medications, schedules, taken and skipped events, appointments, notes, reminders, and timeline entries you or your Care Circle enter.
• Documents: files you upload to the Document Vault and any information extracted from them that a person confirms.
• Emergency Profile: the limited information you choose to place there for use in an emergency.
• Messages you send us, such as support requests.

We record basic operational data needed to run and secure the service: sign-in events, access to shared Emergency Profile links, error reports, and similar audit records. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal information.

We use only what the service needs to work. Your browser stores a sign-in session so you stay logged in, plus small preferences such as the care space you last opened and your Elder Mode display settings. Our payment provider sets its own cookies on the checkout pages it hosts.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics profiling. Clearing your browser storage signs you out and resets those preferences.

• To provide the care space and its features to the people you invite.
• To send the reminders and notifications you configure.
• To enforce roles, permissions, and subscription entitlements.
• To keep the service secure, investigate abuse, and diagnose problems.
• To respond to your support and privacy requests.

AI features run only when someone in the care space uses them — asking the Care Assistant a question, requesting an extraction from an uploaded document, or generating a Weekly Care Summary.

• Only the confirmed records relevant to that request, from that one care space, are sent for processing.
• Requests are processed by a third-party AI model provider on our behalf under contract.
• AI output never writes directly to the care record. It produces a draft that a permitted person reviews and confirms.
• We do not use your care information to train third-party models.

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and handles payment card details directly; EldersCare AI never receives or stores card numbers. We store a customer and subscription identifier, plan, status, and renewal dates so we know what your care space is entitled to. Stripe's own privacy notice governs its handling of payment data.

• With the people you invite to a Care Circle, according to the role you give them.
• With anyone holding an unexpired Emergency Profile link you created, for as long as that link is active.
• With service providers who host, email, process payments, or provide AI processing for us.
• When required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of people or the service.

You decide who joins a care space and what role they have. Invite only people who should see that person's information, review your Care Circle regularly, and remove people who no longer need access. Where the care recipient can make their own decisions, they should agree to what is shared and with whom.

An Emergency Profile link is deliberately usable without an account so it works in an emergency. That means anyone who has the link can view that profile until it expires or you revoke it. Share it narrowly, keep only what is genuinely needed in the profile, and revoke links you no longer use. Access to a shared link is logged.

We keep care space information while the care space exists. An owner can delete a care space, which removes its records and documents from the live service; backups and audit logs may retain some information for a limited period, and we keep the minimum billing records that law requires. You can also email support@elderscare.ai to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We will ask you to verify your identity before acting.

We use private care spaces, role-based permissions, database row-level access controls, private document storage, and expiring emergency links. No service can promise perfect security. See the security page for details and limits.

EldersCare AI is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
